population of Hong Kong is appro. 6.4 million, making it one of the most
densely populated places in the world. The urban areas of Hong Kong Island
and Kowloon pack in over 25,000 people per sq km, compared with only 2860
in the rural New Territories.

Hong Kong's cuisine is world famous for its exotic fusion of Eastern and
Western flavors along with a wide variety of culinary delights. A wide

Most specialize in one or more of the following: Cantonese, Chiu Chow,

Climate
Located by the ocean, Hong Kong's climate is a sub-tropical. Both spring
and autumn are sunny and comfortable, with the temperature is averaging at
about 23 degrees. Summer with an average temperature of 28C is sweltering
and humid. Winter is dry and cool, with an average temperature of 17C. So
in the summer and winter, Hong Kong is respectively neither, too hot or
too cold. This makes Hong Kong a year round travel destination. Of course,
ideally speaking, spring and autumn are the best time for a visit.
Population & Languages
More than 6.7 million people live in Hong Kong. Almost 96 per cent of the
population is Chinese. The official languages are Chinese and English,
with Cantonese the most widely spoken Chinese dialect. Use of Putonghua is
growing. All major signage is in English or is bilingual. Visitors will
find that most people in the service industries speak English.
